How to Prepare a Complete Fastener RFQ

A complete RFQ shortens clarification time and reduces the risk of receiving a quotation for the wrong item. Start with the product name and applicable standard, including the required revision when it matters.

Essential information

Specify diameter, length, thread pitch, material, property class or grade, finish, quantity and required packing. For drawing-based parts, provide a readable PDF plus the original CAD file when available.

Project and delivery details

State the destination port or delivery city, target delivery date, required inspection documents and commercial term. If an alternative standard is acceptable, say so explicitly rather than assuming two standards are interchangeable.
